What do you want more?

That’s the question you have to answer. If you’re trying to make changes in your life to drive yourself toward your goals, you have to decide. Do you want to keep the status quo, or do you want to move forward? What do you want more?

It comes down to the small choices we make every day that impact the whole.

Do you want to get more sleep, or do you want to stay on social media?

Do you want to lose weight, or do you want that extra donut?

Do you want to move your body more or do you want to stay in the recliner?

Do you want to make more friends, or do you want to decline that invite for after-work drinks?

Either choice in each scenario is okay – there is no right answer. It comes down to what your goals are and want you want most.

If you are trying to get more sleep but stay on social media a little bit longer that evening, that’s fine. Just call it like it is. You want social media more than sleep. If you’re honest with yourself, it’s not a big issue. It’s when you say you want more sleep, but you continue to stay on social media and then complain about how you never get enough rest, that it becomes a problem. Make sense?

Here’s the thing. Just be honest with yourself, and then realize the trade-off when you make a choice and own it. If you want change, you have to choose change.
